Summer 2010
Research
Students:
Tom Hammond, UNI student, worked on the activation of small molecules using our
dinuclear ruthenium complexes. Tom also worked on helping characterize the
reaction products of polyarenes with our diruthenium complexes.
Regina Reinig,
UNI student, worked on making the di-t-butyl version of our doubly linked Cp
ligand.
Helori
Salembier, ENSC Rennes, worked on the kinetics of the diruthenium naphthalene
complex.
Andrew
Heidemann, Dike New Hartford, and Kevin Dou, Cedar Falls High, worked on investigating
the cytotoxic properties of some of our diruthenium complexes.
Andrew
Paige, Waterloo East, and Rodney Wallace, Waterloo East, worked on the
synthesis and characterization of various polyarene dirutheinum complexes.
